The coaching is to blame for the Packers' offensive struggles. The first part of the story is over.

If anyone in the Packers' locker room had a problem with Rodgers' assessment of their offense, they haven't addressed it with him.

His teammates weren't included.

That's not Matt LaFleur.

On Wednesday, Rodgers said that his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show made waves because he said that players who are making too many mistakes shouldn't be playing. Cut some reps. Guys who aren't playing may be given a chance.

He said it was nothing he hadn't shared with his teammates.

"If one of those guys has a problem with it, I would love to have a conversation with them," Rodgers said. I enjoy talking to people. I enjoy any type of conflict because I know that the resolution on the other side will make us a better unit, a better friendship, and a better cohesion on the field. Nobody has said that they have a problem with what you said. Everyone knows that everything needs to take a little bit of a boost.

Rodgers didn't back down from his comments.

Rodgers doesn't understand why people don't like things that are true. I see it the way I see it. People think that I don't need to say anything. I'm doing what I think is in the best interests of our guys, and I've tried a lot of different things from a leadership standpoint this year. I did not call anyone out. We all need to be on the details.

Rodgers was willing to have more conversations with his teammates and coaches during the week. Rodgers moved his treatment time so that he could attend practice and still call plays, even though he did not practice because of his injured thumb. The weekly meeting between the quarterbacks and the receiver moved up one day.

According to Rodgers, the Packers have missed assignments or had mental errors on as many as 20% of their plays this season, including Sunday's loss to the Washington Commanders.

Sammy Watkins said that if you're not doing the things that you're supposed to be doing, then he's with you. Get me out of the game if I'm not playing well because that's not helping the team. I think that is a wake-up call to everyone. My goal is to have one M.A. Things happen in the fire if you want to have none. I'm with the guy.

Watkins was back on the field on Sunday after missing four weeks with a leg injury, and Christian could return for the Bills game after missing two weeks with the same injury. Allen Lazard did not practice because of a shoulder injury.

The inclusion of Samori Toure in the Washington game meant that every receiver on the roster has a chance. If Rodgers was referring to Juwann Winfree, who has one catch for 17 yards in the three games in which he was elevated from the practice squad, then it's not clear who he was talking about.

"If that means going different personnel groups, then we'll have to do that," Rodgers said. We cannot have the same mental errors and expect to move the ball efficiently.

LaFleur didn't indicate that he had an issue with Rodgers' comments.

LaFleur said that they have to be honest with each other. The truth can sometimes hurt. I think you have to get to the root of the truth if you don't sit there and listen to the whole thing.

Green Bay opened as a small favorite and the line moved to a larger number by the end of the day. Rodgers has never been more than an 8 point favorite in his career. His 234 career starts are the most by any quarterback to never be a double-digit favorite. Rodgers is 0-4 when he is a touchdown or more favorite.

When you feel like you have a lot to prove, you can be dangerous. Being counted out as much as possible is a good thing. I like that feeling. Hopefully these guys embrace the fact that they have a lot to prove. A lot of guys are going to get opportunities on Sunday and it's time to make a name for yourself. It's a good time for some of those guys to step into the spotlight.
