Meta is going to release a consumer-grade virtual reality headset next year.

During today's Q3 earnings call, the company marked a third quarter loss of $3 billion to its metaverse investments. Some of the cost can be explained by Meta's continued investment in new hardware development, including a consumer-grade headset that will come out next year, according to CFO David Wehner.

The Quest Pro is a headset that is aimed at power users who will use it to work. The company wants the average person to be immersed in its dreams for the metaverse. In order to make up for lost costs, Meta increased the price of the Quest 2 by $100.

We don't know a lot about Meta's new headset, aside from the fact that it's in the works. It is only a matter of time before we learn more about the powerful headset, which was promoted by Meta in the lead up to its release.

The next computing platform still has a long way to go. We are doing leading work here. It will take a few versions of each product before they become mainstream, according to the CEO. I think that our work here is going to be of historic importance and create the foundation for an entirely new way that we will interact with each other and blend technology into our lives as well as the foundation for the long term of our business
