Frequent flyers are more excited about an all-you-can-fly pass than anything else.

For travelers, it's like a buffet of dreams in the sky. It's possible to fly as many times as you want and pay the same price. One of the most famous travel deals of all time was in 2010 when JetBlue offered an unlimited Jet Pass for 30 days of flights.

A new all-you-can-fly pass is on the way. Frontier Airlines will not be offering unlimited flights.

What we know about the Frontier Airlines all-you-can-fly pass

Frontier has just announced an all-you-can-fly offering called the GoWild Pass. It will be valid for a year when it arrives in the spring of 2023 and will be valid for over 300 days.

This means there will be days when it isn't valid for travel, which is what the airline considers to be peak times. In the past, a flight pass that included travel on Fridays and Sundays was more expensive than one that didn't.

An unlimited number of flights will be available for the duration of Frontier's GoWild pass.

You will be able to get confirmed for your flight the day before you leave, but that may be a challenge with Frontier's flight pass model.

If it's the earliest you'll get a seat on the flight, that limits the use of the pass for people who need to plan trips more than one day in advance.

Frontier charges for advance seat assignments and full-sized carry-on bags, which can add to the cost of taking flights using the pass.

How much will Frontier's GoWild flight pass cost?

We don't know how much this pass will cost, other than Frontier says that a limited number of passes will be offered at a discounted rate

If you wanted to fly on Friday and Sunday you would have to pay $699.

Alaska Airlines introduced a subscription-based flight pass that starts at $48 per month but goes up to $749 per month. It only includes flights within California, as well as flights to Phoenix, Reno and Las Vegas.

When it comes to how much they make on ancillary fees and how much they charge for flights, the difference between Frontier and Alaska is huge.

The annual Discount Den membership gives you access to lower-cost flights and an ongoing Kid's Fly Free promotion, but you have to pay a fee for the first year. In the last few years, Frontier has offered a year of its top-tier status for $299.

There are things to know before you fly with Frontier Airlines.

Bottom line

The idea of a new way to fly an unlimited number of times for a fixed price is bound to put a smile on some travelers' faces.

There are many unknowns about Frontier's upcoming GoWild flight pass, but what we do know is that while it will be valid for any Frontier Airlines destination for over 300 days per year, there will be some very important terms and conditions to be aware of before deciding if it is worth

If you want to travel with more than a small backpack and need advance seat assignments, you may need to factor that in.
