Hal Steinbrenner said that the New York Yankees will have a new manager in 2023.

According to Mark Didtler of the Associated Press, Steinbrenner said that he believes that the new Yankees manager is a good one. I don't think there will be a change there.

Steinbrenner spoke to reporters last year after the team signed Boone to a three-year contract.

The person in charge of guiding us forward is a man with baseball knowledge and a lot of respect in the locker room. We need to evolve and improve as a team and as an organization. We have to improve. There is nothing else to say. I look forward to drawing on his intelligence, instincts and leadership in pursuit of our next World Series championship, as he fully embraces our expectations of success.

In December of last year, the Yankees hired a new manager. Over the course of five seasons, he's posted a 423- 281 regular-season record.

The Yankees have never made it to the World Series under Boone. They went as far as the American League Championship Series in two instances, but fell to the Astros each time. Houston swept New York four times this year.

The Boston Red Sox ended their run in the playoffs in each of the last two years.

The regular season has mostly been a success for the teams.

This season, the Yankees won the American League East title after a 99-63 campaign. In the last two years, they won 100 games.

The Yankees have not had a good time in the playoffs. The team's record in the playoffs has been poor, with just a 14 17 record under the leadership of former major leaguer and current analyst Alex Boone.

This year's team failed in the playoffs against Houston due to an offense that hit just.162 and had more strikeouts than hits in the ALCS.

The Yankees will go back to the drawing board with at least one more year under their belt.
