After Fetterman's health took center stage during the event, his Senate campaign released an ad attacking Mehmet Oz's comments on abortion.
Oz responded to a question about abortion rights by saying that local political leaders, as well as women and doctors, should be included in the decision-making process.
Oz is called too extreme for Pennsylvania in the ad.

The candidates sparred over abortion and other issues, as well as ending the Senate's filibuster powers. Fetterman's health was one of the main topics. He told viewers at the beginning of the debate that he might miss some words, but he wouldn't commit to releasing medical records during the debate. Fetterman has released letters from his doctors stating that he is fit to serve in the Senate if he continues treatment. Fetterman had communication issues during the debate. He opened the debate by telling the audience: "Hello, good night everybody," and struggled to explain why he switched from opposing drilling for natural gas to supporting it.
Fetterman's communication issues may cost him the election. According to a survey released before the debate, less than half of voters think Fetterman is healthy enough to serve.
