Since the word "crypto" became shorthand for cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and Web3 stuff sold in Super Bowl ads or discussed in dinner table conversations, it has overshadowed other communities.

Sasquatch is one of the legendary creatures that cryptozoologists use the word "crypto" to talk about. Ivan T. Sanderson wrote Abominable Snowmen, Legend Come to Life in the early 1960s, which started the study of cryptozoology.

Even though other fields of study like cryptography have been around for a long time, some people think thatCrypto is disrupting the financial space as well as their online lives.

I have to spend a lot of time telling people that the person is not talking about the coin. The founder of the InternationalCryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine, says it is about the study of cryptozoology. Coleman has written a number of books about the subject over the past 40 years, including Creatures of the Outer Edge, Bigfoot!, and A to Z: The Encyclopedia.

Coleman says that his followers pick up on the confusion on the social networking site and start campaigning that it's not the case. Some people in the space say they get messages and emails from people who are interested inBitcoin and NFTs. There are a lot of messages on the platform that say that the only thing I care about is cryptocurrencies.

The community uses the word "cryptid" instead of "crypto" in order to steer away from confusion. Cryptidcons is the name of the convention that is now calledCryptocons. There is a lot of confusion in the internet.

The two communities are trying to bridge their differences. Coleman says he has been approached about sponsoring a set of cryptids. Coleman said he backed off after talking about it on the phone. I wanted to know if there was anything I could get out of this. I said, "I don't believe we're talking in the same world."

Coleman doesn't plan to accept Cryptocurrencies for admission at the museum. He says there are no hard feelings against the other people. There seems to be a fight going on. I don't pay much attention. I'm not against them. I don't think it's a real currency. Money is not a real thing when we think about it.

It's all a matter of money, but we believe we can capture a Bigfoot.

Is the two worlds still separated? It's not certain. There are a number of cryptid NFTs that are similar to Bored Apes, but there are also some people who are interested in investing in the world of cryptid coins. Stephen Major is the founder and director of operations at Extreme Expeditions Northwest, an outdoor adventure company that specializes in Bigfoot research. Major said that they believed they could capture a Bigfoot but it was all about money.

Major said that the spoils of Cryptid Coins would be used to capture Sasquatch. There are drones in our possession. We have a lot of things. We have recording equipment. Our budget allows us to have all this stuff. We want to raise enough money to get more advanced devices. Major says military- grade thermals.

The original plan was for 5 million cryptid enthusiasts to purchase $100 worth of Cryptid Coins.

Both Bigfoot and Bitcoins have the same argument that they can achieve their ultimate goal. They could bring in a Bigfoot body if they had enough money. They need to figure out the layers in the payment stack. Major was able to pick up on the similarities. He said that he gets the same reactions when he talks to people about either topic. I getrazzed about Bigfoot a lot. They aren't really. They aren't a real thing. He says it is the same thing. People think Cryptid coin is a joke. They think it's fake money. They don't think it's a flash in the pan, they just think it's a flash.

There is a comfort level in dealing with different types of spaces.

Sharon Hill, a researcher and writer who runs the website Pop Goes the Cryptid, is not surprised that Major is heavily invested in both crypts. According to Hill, the most interesting similarity of these two communities is the significance, or I might even say a comfort level, in dealing with what we would call 'liminal spaces'. You have a cryptid report Is it indicative of people seeing a real animal or is it a hoax? The characteristics of popular cryptids are symbolic. You have also gotcryptocurrencies. Is it possible that these NFTs are not real? They will disappear when you blink. It's possible that both groups have an interest in the unknown and the hidden and what could happen in the future.

Some people are believers in both things. Coleman doesn't have any plans to mint NFTs. The Verge reached out to a few people who use the word "crypto" in their usernames, asking if they were interested in finding Bigfoot, studying unknown animals, or other related topics. The inquiry was not responded to by anyone.

Major believes that the technology is here to stay despite the lack of interest so far. He says he's pitched to a lot of investors but hasn't been able to get more money. He is continuing his expeditions into the wilderness of the Northwest US and Canada.

Major thinks it would work if he could get people who are interested in cryptocurrencies to learn about it. We want to make people believe in both Bigfoot and cryptocurrencies.

There is a show about technology and emotion.
