Live Activities are supported in third-party apps with the release of the public version of Apple's mobile operating system. Live Activities integration for select sports games was pushed back to the 16.2 version of the app.
The Live Activities integration in the TV app was disabled midway through the testing period, but it has been reenabled in the first preview of the new operating system.
Live sports scores can be viewed on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island on the 14 Pro models.
The Dynamic Island can show a live-updating score with the number of goals scored by each club. The Dynamic Island expands when pressed to show time and play. The score is shown on the Lock Screen when an Apple device is locked.
If you want to test the feature, open the TV app and tap on the "Follow" button. The feature is available for users in the U.S., Canada, Australia, U.K., Brazil, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea, as well as for users in the US and Canada only. The feature will be expanded in the future.
Live activities can be found on some sports apps, such as Sports Alert.
