Paul Ryan said that Donald Trump is not the right candidate to represent the GOP in the election.
Ryan said in an interview with Fox Business that the new swing voter in American politics is the suburban voter and that they like Republicans.
He believes that Trump is more likely to win the White House than anyone else.
The GOP is going to want to win the White House so badly and beat the Democrats, and we know we are more likely to lose with Trump because he is unpopular with suburban voters.
Ryan pointed out that his party has lost more under Trump than it has under any other president. The House, the Senate, and the White House were all lost in a two year period. I don't want to repeat that.
Ryan said that the only reason he stays where he is is because everyone is afraid of him.
Ryan, who has enjoyed a fraught relationship with Trump, predicted the GOP can win back control of the House in the upcoming elections.
