  • In an interview with The New York Times, James Cameron criticized superhero movies.

  • The characters all act like they're in college.

  • "The Way of Water" is the sequel to "Avatar" and will be released in December.

The director took a jab at the movies.

In an interview with The New York Times, the director said that all of the characters in the superhero movies act like they are in college.

It doesn't matter to me how old the characters are, they all act like they're in college. They have relationships, but they are not.

He was asked if having children changed how he takes risks.

They don't hang up their spurs because of their kids. What are the things that give us power, love, and a purpose? I don't think that's the way to make a movie.

Superhero movies have dominated the box office in recent years and have been criticized by a number of high-profile filmmakers.

Martin Scorsese compared superhero movies to theme parks in the year 2019. He wrote an article for the Times.

Many of them are made by teams of people with talent. They don't have a unifying vision of an individual artist.

One of the few non-superhero properties expected to drive significant business at the box office this year is "Avatar: The Way of Water," the long-awaited sequel. The first movie has a global gross of over three billion dollars.
