Apple's senior Vice President of marketing confirmed on Tuesday that the company will comply with EU's ruling, but stopped short of giving any other details.

Speaking at Wall Street Journal's WSJ Tech Live event, he didn't seem pleased with how governments around the world are handling this issue. He said that the firm had a disagreement with the EU a decade ago when they were pushing for microusb connections. He mentioned that Apple approached the problem differently than the regulatory body did.

It has been almost 10 years since Apple introduced the lightning connection to its devices. The latest baseline iPad is included in the last couple of years.
