  • Weronika said her head exploded on the airplane after her surgery.

  • She heard a pop in the toilet while she was in the hospital.

Weronika said her head exploded during an airplane ride after having a neck lift. Almost 7 million people watched the October 21 TikTok.

Weronika explained in a series of storytime posts that she had fallen asleep on the plane from Turkey to the UK and woke up with a lot of pain in her ear and back of her head.

I was in pain as well and I was wondering how that could be. She said she couldn't feel her ears.

Weronika said that she heard an audible pop after she went to the bathroom.

She said that she felt a hot liquid dripping down her neck and that she grabbed some towels and wiped it up.

"Obviously, it was blood, but the fluid that comes out of you is yellow with blood, and it smells so bad," she said.

Weronika assumed that most fluids had accumulated after she had a drain removed from her ear. "So, obviously, all of that must have not drained out, and when I got on the plane, the skin was pulling apart, and the nylon stitches couldn't hold it anymore," she said.

Weronika went back to her seat and told her boyfriend what had happened after she stuffed tissues into the headwrap. She waited until they could see it after the flight. She said that she was in pain for the rest of the flight. There was a lot of liquid in this tissue. It wasn't good.

She sent photos to her surgeon after she showered the dried blood off of her head. She said that she left the wound alone and continued taking antibiotics. She said that the wound ended up getting infections. She wrote in the caption that it was all good.

Kevin Sadati, a Newport Beach-based facial plastic surgeon who estimates he's performed more than 5000 face and neck lifts but has not operated on Weronika, told Insider Weronika's problems sound normal. Even though patients don't travel after an operation, fluid can accumulate under the skin. The description of the fluid made by Weronika sounded like a fluid the body makes to get rid of dried blood. It accumulates under the skin when the body over-produces it.

Weronika, who runs a surgery prep business called Sculpted by Weronika, told viewers that she made the original TikTok to inform people about the unpredictable side effects of surgery.

She may have a lawsuit on her hands.

She asked who she was. No one did anything wrong, that's what they said. Weronika said that she was cleared to fly by both her doctor and airport medical staff, and that nobody was to blame.

Weronika did not reply immediately.
