Stage Manager is going to support external displays on iPadOS 16. As pointed out by 9to5Mac, Apple has included the feature with its release of the iPadOS 16.2.

Stage Manager was limited to the iPad with an M1 chip because older chips don't have enough power. Stage Manager for iPad with the M1 chip still has support for external displays despite the decision being reversed. You can use the feature to connect your iPad to an external display or Macintosh computer. You can open up to four apps on each screen if you choose.

Apple wants the iPad to be a multitasking powerhouse. The feature is supposed to make it easier to switch between apps, but it was buggy and some users were not happy with it. Stage Manager doesn't work after some of the changes Apple has made, according to David Pierce.

One of the multitasking features included in the iPadOS 16.2 beta is Freeform. You can use the whiteboard app to collaborate with others on a single canvas, and you can also use an Apple pencil to write notes. You can use the app to communicate with a team and keep track of any changes made to the canvas in a Messages thread.

The redesign of the Home app coincides with the company's adoption of a smart home standard. You can rearrange the Home View in the new app.
