A 10-year, $500 million contract is projected to be offered to Judge by Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports.

He immediately improves a team's output. He is a good teammate. Judge is an immediate box office draw for any team that doesn't sell out. He may be one of the few players who pays for part of his contract.

The largest contract in American sports at the time was the 10-year, $450 million contract for Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The total value of Mike Trout's contract was $426 million. The average annual value is $43.3 million.

Judge had a historic season in which he totaled 62 home runs, 131RBI and 133 runs, all league-leading numbers. His batting average was a career high and he had a.450 on- base percentage.

The outfielder has the chance to make a lot of money this off-season after turning down an offer worth $230.5 million.

According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the Yankees' biggest competition could be the Giants. The Dodgers could be serious players for Judge according to Mark Feinsand. The New York Mets, Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox could be involved.

It will cause a bidding war that will change the sport.

The Yankees will do all they can to keep their star player in the Bronx.

Brian Cashman said there was a pot of gold there. No doubt about it, it's a pot of gold, no doubt about it. Good for him. It was already a large pot and will be bigger.

The first-ever $500 million deal is possible because of Judge's value on the field.
