Today is the opening of a new lounge at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Escape Lounge (Centurion Studio Partner) opens at FLL

The Escape Lounge is located at Fort Lauderdale Airport. Private workspace, reading nooks, shower suites, outlets at every seat, conference rooms that can be reserved, and children activity packs are included in the 5,000 square foot lounge.

The lounge has a menu with dishes from Chef Tourondel's restaurant DUNE by L.T. A Mediterranean twist on a chopped salad is included on the menu. Wine, beer, and spirits as well as coffee from Calusa Coffee Roasters can be found at the store. You can find both the food and drink menu here.

The lounge is located in Terminal 3 and can be accessed from the air side.

This is the first lounge in either Terminal 3 or Terminal 4.

How to access Escape Lounges

The "Centurion studio partner" branding is associated with Escape Lounges. The lounge access policies are similar to what you will find at Amex Centurion Lounges, with the added chance for anyone to buy access.

  • The lounge is open to those with the Amex Platinum Card (personal or business) when traveling with any airline same day; cardmembers can take two guests into the lounge for free
  • The lounge is open to those with the Delta SkyMiles Reserve Card when traveling on Delta same day
  • Lounge access can be purchased for $40 when booked in advance, or $45 when purchased at the door

Those with Priority Pass memberships won't be able to access this lounge on a complimentary basis because it's not a Priority Pass lounge.

Bottom line

The Escape Lounge at Fort Lauderdale Airport is now open, and it is great news for us in South Florida. It's the first lounge in either Terminal 3 or Terminal 4. I would expect this lounge to be crowded because of how many people have Amex Platinums. This is a good addition.
