The official trailer for the movie was released today, giving us a glimpse at Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne. Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne will join Scott's daughter and Hope's parents on the trip.

This trailer was directed at people. It was followed up with an altered version that was geared towards the less well known demographic of ants.

Film studios often release multiple different trailers for the same film in order to reach different audiences. The distinction is usually drawn by country, with the language and shots used in a Chinese trailer different to those used in the U.S.

The trailer for ants doesn't make any changes to the movie. It shrinks the human trailer to a smaller size for insect eyes. This is probably an instance where the thought is more important than the image quality.

This is not the first time that this has been done. Ant-sized billboards were erected across Australia in 2015, as well as releasing an ant-sized tease for the first film. I don't know how much the ant population contributes to box office results, but it's nice that they're being acknowledged.

February 17, 2023 is when Quantumania will be released.
