There are gaps that aren't covered by a border wall that are being filled with shipping containers by the state of Arizona.

Two weeks after federal officials told him to remove containers he had placed along the border in southwestern Arizona, the Republican governor decided to put stacks of containers in Cochise County.

The state of Arizona is trying to keep more than 100 double-stacked containers topped with razor wire in a location near the California border. New containers are being placed hundreds of miles east of the U.S. forest service land.

In August, the containers were placed near Yuma to fill gaps in the border wall, which was being used to stop migrants from entering the state from Mexico.

There is a 10-mile section of the border. To fill the gap, it would take over 3000 shipping containers.

Republican politicians want to show their support for border security and the border wall is a big issue.

The migrants have been avoiding the barriers by walking around them.
