If you are a subscriber to Disney Plus, you may miss out on some features. GroupWatch and SharePlay, features that let you remotely watch a movie or show with friends and family, won't be available if you use the cheaper version of Disney's service.
Disney didn't reply to the request for comment on whether it's planning to not allow ad-supported users to watch content with it or Apple's system Groupwatch and Shareplay are not available for accounts on the ads tier. It is possible that Disney will walk back a decision before launching the plan in December.
It wouldn't be the only feature that would be cut from Disney's less expensive plan. The most basic plan of the company won't allow you to watch downloaded content offline. The company says it is working on the latter point, though it will only be limited to 720p.
