The worst fears of the Los Angeles Clippers were confirmed on Monday when they learned that JC Jackson would be out for the rest of the season.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Jackson tore his knee in Sunday's game.

Jackson was hurt in the second quarter when he tried to defend a touchdown pass caught by a Seattle player. He was put into an air cast and carted off the field.

The first four years of Jackson's career with the New England Pats were spent in San Diego. After he led the league with 23 passes defended last season, he was one of the prized free-agent acquisitions of the year.

He missed two games earlier this year due to an ankle injury, but got off to a slow start with the Dodgers. He finished the season with 15 total tackles.

The injury to Jackson is yet another blow to the team. In the third week of the season, star defensive end Joey Bosa suffered a groin injury and Pro Bowl left tackle Rashawn Slater tore his bicep. Linsley missed time due to injury and illness. The kicker is out with an injured leg.

The star receiver hasn't played in a while because of an injury. Williams left the game with an injury. The quarterback has been playing through a rib injury.
