Kurt Zouma
Kurt Zouma's goal for West Ham came in his 200th Premier League appearance

As a result of Kurt Zouma's controversial goal, West Ham moved up seven places to 10th in the table.

The Cherries were furious when the ball appeared to hit the hands of Hammers defender Thilo Kehrer earlier in the move.

The goal stood after the video assistant referee checked to see if the goal was accidental or not.

Gary O'Neil was booked for talking to the referee after the teams left the field at half time.

Said Benrahma converted from the spot in the last minute of injury time to give the hosts a victory.

After only 45 minutes, the Cherries had lost Dominic Solanke and Neto to injury as they went on to lose their third match in a row.

They thought they should have had a penalty of their own after the ball hit Ben Johnson's arm, but their appeals were turned down.

'It's a handball, that's a fact'

The first controversy of the game came in the 45th minute when Kehrer tried to head the ball from a corner but it hit his hands.

The ball glanced off the heads of Flynn Downes and Kurt Zouma before going into the net, with the goal given after a video review.

At half-time, O'Neil, who has been in charge of Bournemouth since the end of August, insisted that the officials had made a mistake.

When the game was goalless, the Hammers were the better side with Benrahma firing a free-kick into the side net, Neto pushing over a shot and Cresswell heading over a cross.

The best chance for Bournemouth was when Solanke collected the ball in his own half and ran towards the home defence.

Solanke had to be taken out of the game after he injured his ankle.

O'Neil had to change his goalkeeper at the start of the second half after Neto was forced to leave the game with a injury.

It was Travers' first appearance since the 9-0 loss to the Reds at the Stadium of Light on August 27th in what turned out to be the final match in charge of the Cherries.

West Ham was trying to get a second goal when Travers made a great save.

Without Solanke, Bournemouth, now 14th in the premier league, saw Jaidon Anthony head at Fabianski with a rare chance, before Benrahma's late penalty secured West ham's place in the top half.
