Three new cases involving Chinese intelligence agents were revealed by top U.S. law enforcement authorities. A failed attempt to bribe a U.S official to give up confidential information about a Chinese company is one of the allegations.

Two Chinese intelligence officers are accused in a criminal complaint of trying to bribe a U.S law enforcement official with $61,000 worth of digital currency in order to get information about a criminal case in the US. The law enforcement official was a double agent. Sources familiar with the indictment spoke with ABC News and said that the company was named.

The Department of Justice brought criminal charges against the company and its associates, accusing them of committing a number of crimes.

The attempt by PRC intelligence officers to shield a PRC-based company from accountability was egregious, according to the U.S. Attorney General.

The two defendants tried to get information related to witness, trial evidence, and possibly new charges against the company. The FBI double agent was paid $41,000 by the Chinese agents for a single page. The documents were prepared by the US government. They were both accused of trying to obstruct a criminal prosecution. He was arrested and charged with money-laundering.

The company did not reply immediately to the request for comment.

Two more criminal cases involving Chinese intelligence officials were revealed by law enforcement officials in the U.S.

Three Chinese intelligence agents in the US were charged with acting as illegal agents for a foreign government. Garland said on Monday that those individuals used the cover of a purported Chinese academic institute to target, co-opt, and direct individuals in the US to further the PRC's intelligence mission. According to Garland, the agents tried to get technology from the U.S. and send it to China.

Seven people were charged in the Eastern District of New York with working for the Chinese government and trying to get them to return to China.

The Chinese government's agents used intimidation to force a US resident to return to China. Garland said it would be "endless misery" for the victim and his son to defend themselves after the agents showed up at their home. Garland said their harassment would not stop until the victim came back to China.

Garland said that the government of China tried to interfere with the rights and freedoms of individuals in the United States.

The director of the FBI commented on the case during the conference.

The United States sees a coordinated effort across the Chinese government to lie, cheat, and steal their way to unfairly dominate entire technology sectors. The FBI director said that the cases laid bare the Chinese government's blatant violation of international laws, including within the U.S. borders.
