There are a number of new features to be found in the new version of Apple's browser. In addition to being built in to the other operating systems, the browser is also available on the other operating systems.
Web Push for macOS Ventura allows websites and web apps to use the same standards as other browsers to send notifications. Even when it's not running, notifications can be delivered.
The same Apple Push Notification service that powers native push on Apple devices is used for Web Push, a feature that has already been implemented for a website.
PassKeys can be used on iPad and Macs running iPadOS 16 as well as devices running Apple's other operating systems. Passkeys are designed to replace passwords and websites are already supporting them.
When the Apple Pencil is up to 12mm away, the iPad Pro's display will be able to detect it. Users will be able to see hover states for links in the new version of the browser.
