Penn State, Michigan get into it in the tunnel at halftime (0:28)

In the tunnel at halftime, Penn State and Michigan talk. There is a 0:28

8:03 PM AST

The Michigan and Penn State football teams got into a shouting match in the tunnel at Michigan Stadium. Penn State coach James Franklin wants a policy in place to keep that from happening in the future, but Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh doesn't think so.

Harbaugh told reporters that he doesn't think there is an issue and that it wasn't the tunnel or a policy that caused the fight.

It was pretty clear that the Penn State players stopped. Harbaugh said that they weren't allowed to go up the tunnel. It seemed like a sophomoric ploy to keep us out of the locker room. Franklin looked like the leader of the group.

Franklin said after the game that he would like to have a buffer between when the teams enter the tunnel and when they leave. He said that having a single tunnel is a problem and that there should be new policies in place to prevent it in the future.

There needs to be a buffer between the two teams. We want to do it despite the fact that this team is in before that team. We aren't the first team to have that.

We won't be the last according to me.

After the game, Michigan offensive linemen said their teammates threw food at them.

R.J. threw a sandwich at me. "Moten came up to me and said 'I just got hit with a PB&J in the face'." I think they were. He told me that I did not see that.

Harbaugh said he isn't thinking about the fight as his team prepares to face Michigan State.
