Brian Stanley, an engineer from Southern California, created a video of a "Terminator"-inspired eye flashlight that can light up a room.

I lost my eye to cancer so I made this and turned my head into a flashlight.

His invention was called "Titanium SkullLamp."

It's great for reading in the dark. Stanley said something else.

It is an example of what can be done with simple, off-the-shelf electronics. Why didn't anyone else think of this example of a cyborg-like eye?

Light 'em Up

The video shows how the flashlight works. The ultimate handsfree tool, the cyborg eye illuminates only the part of the engineer's head he is currently pointing at.

Stanley writes that according to the video, the eye has a battery life of less than 20 hours.

The eye can be even more bright. He said that this is half of his power output. I'll work my way to full power eventually.

The eye flashlight can be turned on and off.

Stanley has been experimenting with different colors and shapes. He made filters for Halloween last year.

He has a Jack Skellington eye for Halloween.

Stanley went to a haunted house to freak out the performers, according to the comment section of the video.

He said that quite a few performers broke character. I will attempt to get it on video this year.

The inventor of the cockroach says it will only be used for good.
