The next ship to be named by the company is the World America.
The Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in France was the site of the World America's steel-cutting ceremony on Monday.
The shipyard delivered the first World-class ship for the company.
Ruben Rodriguez, president of MSC Cruises USA, said that "MSC World America is a testament to our ambitious growth plans in the U.S. and the Caribbean and further solidified MSC Cruises as a major player in the North American market."
The U.S. inspired name comes as MSC shifts its fleet to bases in the U.S.
The World America will offer a "futuristic cruise experience" with a new design, dining and entertainment options. Some of the ship's design will wave directly at a North American audience, the line said.
There will be more than 420,000 square feet of public space on the ship.
There is a 350-foot-long World Promenade on the new ship. There is a view of The Venom Drop from the balcony cabins. Norwegian Cruise Line's The Drop on the Norwegian Prima is the longest at sea with 10 decks.
There will be a naming ceremony in November. The ship will travel to several destinations in the Middle East and Arabia.
