The Russian Ministry of Defense didn't have direction or equipment.

According to the report, the group said they were from Russia's Krasnodar region and had been called up towards the beginning of the military campaign.

The men said after training that they were thrown out into the field like dogs.

They said they only had uniforms and AK-47s, but no bullets.

One man said in the video that they were on pins and needles because they didn't know where their people were.

Not a radio, not a gun, not something. He said there were no medical supplies. I want to show this to our authorities. Is this normal?

More than a month ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilize of his country's military.

There are reports pointing to poor training and equipment issues.

According to Marina Miron, a research fellow at the Centre for Military Ethics at King's College London, it is likely that some of the people who have been sent to Ukraine have not been trained.

Putin said last week that 16,000 men had been sent to fight in Ukraine. The men are being used as cannon fodder according to many experts.

One draftee told The Guardian last week that he was forced to buy his own gear because of the lack of equipment.

They didn't give us anything. The draftee said that the army had nothing.
