There will be a partial solar eclipse in the UK. There will be a partial solar eclipse visible from most of Europe, north Africa, the Middle East and western parts of Asia.
The eclipse starts from London. The silhouette of the moon will be visible on the left-hand limb of the sun over the next fifty minutes. The sun will be blacked out by the moon at 10.39am. There won't be a noticeable difference to daytime illumination levels.
Some parts of the world have more sun covered than others. In parts of Russia, more than 80% of the sun's surface will be covered as the sun sets for the night.
Don't use optical devices to look at the sun. Damage to your sight can be caused by looking with your naked eye. If you want to use eclipse viewers that can be purchased online, make sure they display the ISO 12312-2 safety standard.
