British Airways had to find another plane after a passenger defecated on the floor and smeared feces around the cabin, report says

A passenger on a British Airways plane defecated on the floor before putting his feces on himself.

It was reported by The Sun.

The emergency services were called to the airport after the incident on the plane.

The man defecated on the galley floor after taking his pants off in the economy cabin on the flight.

According to a report seen by The Sun, the carpets and curtains were contaminated and should be cleaned.

The plane was taken out of service for cleaning. The flight was delayed by about three hours.

A British Airways spokesman told The Sun that they apologized to their customers and arranged for an alternative aircraft to allow them to continue their journey. It's not known if the passenger was charged or if he's been banned from flights.

British Airways did not reply immediately.
