Ahead of the release of his never-before-heard audio interviews with former President Donald Trump, Watergate journalist Bob Woodward wrote that after listening to the tapes again, he concluded that Trump was an "unparalleled danger."
"The Trump Tapes: Bob Woodward's Twenty Interviews with President Trump" will be released in October.
In an op-ed for the Washington Post, Woodward wrote that he had concluded his book on Trump by calling him the wrong man for the job.
According to Woodward, his assessment of Trump wasn't accurate.
I realized I didn't go far enough. "Trump is an unparalleled danger."
He said that it was clear that he did not know what to do. The job was too much for Trump to handle. His focus became the presidency because he was disconnected from the needs of the public.
The tapes were released to capture Trump's personality in a way that the written word couldn't, according to Woodward.

Listening to the tapes allows you to hear Trump interrupt and mock Woodward as he speaks about the most pressing policy issues of his presidency, including his handling of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
In clips of the Trump Tapes previously released by CNN, Trump can be heard talking about his admiration for the leaders of Russia and North Korea. Trump bragged to Woodward that he was the toughest president to face impeachment.
The representative for Trump didn't reply immediately.
