In a 122-121 overtime loss to the Utah Jazz, the New Orleans Pelicans lost two of their best players.

With 8:07 left in the fourth quarter, Zion took a hard fall when his dunk attempt was blocked. He thought he had a slam after blocking the shot on the other side. He was able to get his hand on the ball, but he fell down.

He initially said he was good to stay in the game and did so for the next possession, but it was obvious that he was hampered. Six seconds later, he was checked out by the pelicans.

He waved them off and stayed on the bench for the rest of the game. It wasn't until after the game that the team said that he wouldn't be able to return because of the injury.

When he saw the forward fall, he thought it wasn't good, but he was hopeful he wouldn't miss a lot of time.

The play was unfortunate, according to McCollum. Clarkson fell after making a play on the ball. I hope he's back soon.

When he went to the bench, he had 25 points and six Rebounds on 10 of 16 shooting.

The Pelicans were able to come back and force overtime without their two best players. The Jazz were up by as many as 17 in the fourth quarter and were up by as many as 88 at one point. New Orleans was able to take a lead late in the fourth quarter, but Utah was able to tie the game at the end of regulation.

The game went to overtime after neither team was able to score on their final possession.

In the first half, he was ruled out with a head injury and was being evaluated for concussion- like symptoms. There was no news on him.

The two players went up to try to steal a pass in the first quarter. The Pelicans called a timeout after Marshall's hand made contact with Ingram, because they wanted to make sure he didn't stay in the game.

After being evaluated by the team trainer, he seemed to be fine and told some teammates on the bench that he was. After checking back in at the 6:33 mark of the second quarter, he went to the bench to check out. Instead of going to the bench, he walked straight to the locker room.

In the first two games of the season, he averaged 28.0 points, 8 rebound and 6 assists, while shooting 54.5% from the floor and 60% from deep. In 11 minutes against Utah, he had 10 points and was 4 of 5 from the field.

The LA Clippers, Phoenix Suns, and Los Angeles Lakers are all on the road for the next three games for the Pelicans.
