A Michigan woman is accused of stealing items from Walmart by not scanning her items at the self-checkout

Loss prevention workers noticed that TeddyJo wasn't scanning every item when she used the self-checkout at Walmart. According to a report from Fox 2, Fliam became agitated when confronted by a loss prevention worker and left the store.

The footage from the store's security cameras showed that Fliam had stolen more than $1,000 in goods from Walmart.

Wal-mart is using technology to prevent theft.

Last month, she was arrested at her home and charged with first degree retail fraud.

Walmart's loss prevention team has begun to crack down on thefts at the self-checkout, with Michigan State Police recording two similar incidents in which people were arrested after exchanging barcodes while checking out items.
