The Los Angeles Lakers lost their third game in a row on Sunday to the Portland Trail blazers.

The coach said the team has bigger things to worry about when he was asked about how Russell would react to being benched.

"We don't have time for people to be emotional," he said.

The Lakers starter played the most minutes of any one player. He was limited to 10 points on 4-of-15 shooting with six assist and six rebound. The Lakers had a seven-point lead with under two minutes left in the game.

When Westbrook was on the bench, Portland's comeback run began, but he came back into the game with under a minute left. The Lakers held a one-point lead at that point, but the shot clock missed and the Trail blazers got the ball back.

Damian Lillard hit a three-pointer on the next possession. Portland's Jerami Grant hit a game-winning layup with three seconds left in the game. James had a chance to force overtime, but his shot missed.

The Lakers could switch to the perimeter if they had another athletic perimeter defender. When he took that jumper, he was looking for a two-for-one chance.

Some think that he would be better served coming off the bench.

It's time. Bring him off of the bench.
