The New York Jets running back was carted off the field in the second quarter of the game against the Denver Broncos.

Jets head coach Robert Salah told reporters that the injury doesn't look good and that it's probably an anterior knee injury.

He ran for 72 yards and a score on a 65-yard scamper in the first quarter.

The Jets made Hall the first back off the board when they took him in the second round.

He accomplished a lot during his time at Iowa State, so there was a lot of excitement when he arrived in New York.

Hall had 3,941 yards and 50 touchdown on the ground as well as 734 yards and six receiving scores.

Hall had his best all-around performance in the final year of his junior and sophomore years.

He set personal bests as a pass catcher with 36 catches for 302 yards and three touchdown, and as a running back with 1,472 yards and 20 touchdown.

The former Iowa State star's status as a do-everything back made him appealing to the Jets, as he was seen as someone who could help quarterbackZach Wilson in many ways.

Losing Hall for the rest of the season would be a blow to the Jets offense, but they have some depth that should allow them to make up for it.

Ty Johnson and Michael Carter will be the primary backs in his absence.
