A Korean Air plane overshot the runway at Mactan–Cebu International Airport in the Philippines on Sunday night due to bad weather and poor visibility.
Photos of the accident scene that have been posted on social media show the tail of the aircraft tipped into the air after it crashed through a fence at the end of a runway.
Poor weather conditions forced the aircraft to be held in a holding pattern around the island.
The data provided by Flight Radar 24 shows that the pilots had already made two failed landings before the runway incursion.
Korean Air has two configurations of the A330-300 with a maximum capacity of over 200 passengers.
The airline confirmed in a statement that the plane deviated from the runway due to bad weather at the airport.
The airline didn't provide any further information. The person could not say if there had been any injuries to passengers or crew.
