A woman went into labor today on American Airlines flight 87 from London Heathrow to Chicago O’Hare. The plane diverted to Reykjavik for the mother and child to receive medical attention. After just under two hours on the ground in Iceland, the Boeing 787-9 aircraft took off from the Keflavik airport bound for Chicago.

I hope your baby is safe and you are well

The passenger was taken to a hospital. The team members and medical professionals were thanked.
This was the same Boeing 787-9 that had electrical problems while flying from London to Chicago.
A pregnant woman shouldn't travel during her last few weeks of pregnancy. Babies arrive early. The women don't know how long they've been pregnant. There are babies in the air. American requires a doctor's certificate attesting to the mother's fitness to fly for all travel within four weeks of the due date.
The citizenship laws in the US and Europe are different.
This isn't the first baby to be born on an American Airlines plane in the last year.
A woman gave birth on a plane to New York. Just as they were about to head out over the Atlantic Ocean, they declared an emergency and headed for London. A family was given a free trip.
The woman gave birth to a baby. The baby was named after the airline and she received $1,000 in baby supplies. A baby was given 1 million frequent flyer miles. A baby was given 18 years of free flights after being born on a flight. American Airlines doesn't offer incentives for giving birth.
Dallas Fort-Worth was added to the American Airlines schedule. The two carriers that started flying to Dallas were the only ones that flew there. It was a classic type of dumping. With those airlines gone from the market, American is pulling out as well.
In airlines.
American started flying from Dallas to Iceland. American shifted their flight to Philadelphia. They filed to make the flight year-round.
In airlines.
Next summer, American Airlines will start seasonal service in Dallas Fort Worth. Wow Air and Icelandair are the other two non-stops. Two ultra low cost carriers have entered the market. Wow Air andIcelandair offer...
In general.
