Up to 50,000 dolphins have been killed in the Black Sea since the beginning of the war.

Ivan Rusev, the head of the scientific department of the Tuzly Lagoons National Nature Park, was cited as saying that the cetaceans died because of Russian warships.

The dolphins are affected by the sounds of Russian ships and subs. The animals can't orient themselves in space or hit mines because of this.

The health and life of marine animals can be negatively affected by the use of sauds.

Many dolphins came within the zone covered by ships' navigation devices, which disabled their navigation and echolocation organs, and caused them powerful acoustic injuries.

Ivan Rusev had reported at least 5000 dead cetaceans.

It's important to remember that the sea washes up only 5% of dead animals. We can't register the rest of the group because they go to the bottom of the sea. Detection and counting from the shore are not possible.

Ivan Rusev estimated that up to 50,000 cetaceans have died during the war between Russia and Ukraine.

The Black Sea has not washed up dead dolphins in recent months.

I have only seen dolphins that have died. There was no information about dead dolphins being found on the Black Sea coast.

The remains of a dead dolphin were found on the seashore near Lebedivka.

The remains of a dolphin were found in a part of the sandbar that is accessible to dogs and jackals. The dolphin wasn't damaged by the predator.

Rusev said that the animal probably died in the middle of the summer when the Ruscists were active.

The Russian Federation has caused more than 37 billion euro in damage to the environment of Ukraine.
