Lauren Boebert said she made a "freudian slip" while trying to correct her reference to Joe Biden as president.
Boebert voted to overturn the results of the election.
The Colorado Republican laughed at the idea of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack being called an insurrection and voted against a bill that would have given the Congressional Gold medal to officers who defended against the riot.
According to a former Trump aide, Boebert was part of a group of Republicans who met with White House aides and Trump campaign staff to discuss how to handle the certification of the results of the 2020 election.
Boebert appeared to point out a slip-up she made Wednesday during a Knox County Republican Party dinner in Tennessee that is in line with her previous attempts to cast doubt on the 2020 election results.
The phrase "used to explain a subconscious desire" was used in her speech.
Boebert made a face before saying who was thanked by Biden.
The president of the United States. She said that a Freudian slip happened.
Boebert's reference can be watched below.
