According to Adam Schefter, the Carolinas rejected a trade offer for Brian Burns.

According to a report, Burns is not on the trading block. He is expected to get a huge extension this year.

DJ Moore and Jaycee Horn are not going to be traded.

The worst team in the league has already made a few changes with an eye towards the future.

They fired head coach Matt Rhule two years into a seven-year deal and traded star running back Christian McCaffrey to the 49ers for four draft picks. Anderson was traded to the Arizona Cards.

The Carolinas are listening to offers for other players, including linebackers, despite their insistence on not trading off more of their core players, according to reports.

It's clear that the panthers aren't undergoing a complete rebuild and that they view certain players as "foundational pieces" for the future. Jeremy Fowler gave a reason as to why Carolina isn't trading Moore.

The #Panthers also have received multiple trade calls on their other top playmaker, wide receiver D.J. Moore, per sources, but the team has considered Moore a foundational piece to the roster. That would make a trade tough to execute.

They are all first-round picks under the age of 25 at their valued positions.

The most prized player in that group is Burns, and he's the one who the Carolinas can build their defense around as they look toward a future with a new head coach and perhaps a rookies franchise quarterback.

He has nine sacks in each of the last two years and earned his first Pro Bowl appearance in 2021. He is on course for a second Pro Bowl honor.

The Carolina panthers are hoping to get their first win of the season when they play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
