A man is suing the car rental company after he was held at gun point for 30 minutes after renting his car.

The father and daughter were stopped by armed officers 30 minutes after he had rented a car.

He is one of hundreds of people who have sued the rental car company after they were told their cars were stolen.

The car that was reported stolen by the company was rented by the person.

Wright and his daughter are in a parking lot when police officers swarm them.

I had my hands in the rain. Do you know how easy it would have been for my daughter to get shot?

He said a manager at the depot laughed over the phone when he called in a panic. Wright was given an upgrade and a reduction in his bill.

That is crazy to me. I can't understand that line of thought. Wright said that nobody cares.

Wright was told by the officers at the scene that he would not be allowed to leave until the manager arrived.

The incident has had a big impact on Wright's daughter. He said she is struggling to deal with seeing police officers on the street.

"Hertz needs to be held accountable because she is going to struggle with that for the rest of her life," Wright said.

Francis Malofiy told Insider that taxpayers are subsidizing inventory control for private corporations. It's cheaper to shift the burden to the taxpayers when the police already have a bad relationship with the community.

"Hertz cares deeply about our customers, and we successfully provide rental vehicles for tens of millions of travelers each year," a statement from a spokesman for the company said.

We are committed to doing what's right for our customers. We will protect and defend against false claims.
