According to reports, the former president wants to tell his story under certain conditions now that he has been subpoenaed.

The New York Times reported earlier this month that Donald Trump told aides he would comply with the subpoena if he could live.

After the subpoena was served, his attorneys said they would respond appropriately.

Donald Trump is ordered to turn over documents by Nov. 4 or face depositions beginning on or about Nov. 14.

A majority of Americans think that Trump should testify before the committee about his role in the insurrection. There was a margin of error of 5.2% in the poll. Democrats and independents want him to testify, according to the survey.
