The Miami Hurricanes fell to Duke 45-21 on Saturday to fall to 3-4 on the season and head coach Mario Cristobal ripped his players for not working hard enough.

"If someone isn't playing hard, they have to go somewhere else," said Cristobal. Tough people are required to do what we need to do. Tough-minded people are needed to rebuild a program.

The Hurricanes won their first two games of the season against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. Things have gone downhill for the team since then.

The Hurricanes lost their next three games to Texas A&M, Middle Tennessee and North Carolina. The Canes rebounded from their first loss of the season with a win over the Hokies.

The game against Duke did not go well for the Hurricanes. Quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, who completed 11 of 16 passes for 81 yards and one touchdown, left the game with an injury and was replaced by JakeGarcia, who completed just 13 of 21 passes for 198 yards and two touchdown.

The Hurricanes turned the ball over eight times in Saturday's loss, with five of them being lost.

Fans had high hopes for Miami this season after the hiring of Cristobal, who led the Oregon Ducks to a 35-13 record and four bowl appearances in his five seasons as head coach.

In Cristobal's first season as head coach, Miami is going to need a big improvement. The Canes will play games against Virginia, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Pittsburgh.

Next weekend they'll play Virginia.
