The Bitmoji-style characters are coming to Whatsapp too. According to a report from WABetaInfo, the newest version of the app is only available for some users, but not for everyone.
People who have access to the feature will see a new category in their settings menu that they can use to modify their digital version of themselves. Users can use the sticker pack as a way to express themselves when messaging family and friends.
The feature was spotted a month ago, but is now being used by users. It is not known when the feature will be rolled out to all users on the platform or when it will be brought to the device. Meta didn't reply immediately.
After they became available to use in Facebook comments and stories in 2020, Meta first introduced them on Messenger and the News Feed. The company gave its avatars a new look and started allowing users to add them to their profiles. The update is part of Meta's effort to build out its idea of the metaverse, which includes virtual and augmented reality, and more familiar platforms like your phone.
