President Joe Biden said it is his intention to seek re-election in 2024.
I have not made a formal decision, but I intend to. I want to run again. During an interview with MSNBC's Jonathan Capehart, Biden said that they have time to make a decision.
Biden paused for a long moment when asked if his wife supported his decision.
He said that his wife thinks that he shouldn't walk away from the project.
Capehart inquired about the advice Biden received from his late son, Beau, who urged his father to run for president.
Can you make life better for other people, that's the only reason to be involved in public life. Biden made a statement. "If the opponent has a view that is so antithetical to what I believe democracy is, and I believe it's good for average Americans, then Dad, you have an obligation to do something," he said.
When he does that, a whole series of regulations kick in, and I have to treat myself as a candidate.
Some Democrats argue that the president's age and job performance make him unsuitable for reelection.
Donald Trump seems to be holding his announcement until after the November elections.
