Wreckage of missing airplane carrying German fitness mogul Rainer Schaller reportedly found off the coast of Costa Rica

Wreckage of a plane carrying a German fitness mogul was found off the coast of Costa Rica.

Costa Rica's Lmon Airport is believed to be the location of the missing two-engine turboprop plane.

The small plane, which was carrying Schaller's partner, Christiane Schikorsky, and their children, went missing from Mexico on Friday. After leaving Palenque in Mexico, the aircraft lost communication.

There was a piece of the plane that was found in the Caribbean Sea. Costa Rica's Vice Minister of Public Security said there were no bodies or people alive at the moment.

Schaller and his family were on the plane with another man, but the company did not know at the time, according to a statement from the company.

The founder and CEO of the group is Schaller. After Gold's Gym filed for Chapter 11 in 2020, he bought the business.
