It was originally scheduled for Thursday, January 5. The Sunday night time slot has been good for AMC originals like Walking Dead and Breaking Bad. Interview is similar to Better Call Saul in that it will premiere on Monday nights.
Based on Rice's Lives of the Mayfair Witches series that began with 1990's The Witching Hour, the series starsAlexandra Daddario as a New Orleans doctor who learns she's the heir to a dynasty of powerful witches. Jack Huston plays Lasher, a shape shifting entity that has been tied to the Mayfair family for generations and is trying to get a corporeal body.
There are several times when the Interview and Mayfair characters crossed paths in the books, so we don't know if there will be a similar occurrence in the future. Interview was renewed for a second season shortly before it aired, as AMC is dedicated to keep the Immortal Universe going as long as possible.
The first two episodes of The Mayfair Witches will be broadcast on January 8, 2023.
