Boris Johnson Races Home In British Airways Economy

Boris Johnson is hurrying home from the Caribbean in the British Airways economy class, probably hoping to be the next Prime Minister.

It is possible that Boris Johnson could once again become Prime Minister, just weeks after he resigned from the position.

Johnson had been in the Dominican Republic for a couple of weeks but decided to cut his vacation short. Johnson took British Airways flight BA2156 from the Dominican Republic to the UK via Antigua.

The first flight is blocked at 1 hour and 25 minutes and the second flight is blocked at 8 hours. The service operates twice a week with a plane. Business class, premium economy, and economy are some of the features of this aircraft.

Johnson and his family were seated at the back of the economy and Johnson dressed nicely for the occasion.

According to reports from other passengers, Johnson and his family received special treatment. They were separated from other people at the airport. It is not known if Johnson heard that he was booed by other passengers.

Why was Johnson flying economy on British Airways?

Johnson went back to London in the economy. I don't think it's excessive for him to be in business class because he's independent and wealthy It would benefit him if he arrived in London rested.

What is the reason?

• Business class and premium economy were full, or at least didn’t have enough seats for his entire family
• Business class and premium economy were prohibitively expensive, as that’s not totally inconceivable for a last minute ticket change
• Johnson flew in economy for the optics as he tries to again secure the job of Prime Minister, and wants to come across as a “man of the people”

I think the most likely explanation is that he flew in economy for the sake of the image. The business class just wasn't available. There are reports that there were empty seats in business class, but it could be that there weren't any seats for sale in advance, but there were no shows.

Bottom line

Boris Johnson went back to London after his vacation in the Dominican Republic ended. The most interesting part of his journey was that he flew in the economy section.

I think he did this to make it look like he did it for something. He is one of the few people to cross the Atlantic in a suit.
