Australia dominated Scotland in the Rugby League World Cup with a 15-try win.

Josh Addo-Carr ran in four tries while Campbell Graham scored three.

There were seven other Australians crossing in the rain.

Only a freak set of results will allow Scotland to advance.

If Italy loses to Australia on the same day as the Scots lose to Nathan Graham's side, the Scots will be out of the tournament.

Points difference would be used to reach the last eight for Scotland.

The fate of Australia's place in the knockout stage will be decided on Saturday.

Addo-Carr the star for ruthless Australia

Australia equaled their own record of 14 World Cup wins.

The 11-time world champion was always overwhelming favorites against a Scotland side who were able to call on players from the Super League and the National Rugby League.

At one point, Mal Meninga's outfit looked like they might be able to break the 110-4 record win they set against Russia at the World Cup.

The standard for an electric display was set by the early tries from Addo-Carr, Jack Wighton, and others.

Addo-Carr used his pace to add his second before Wighton finished off the first half.

After the restart, James Tedesco went over as Ben Hunt went over to make it 50-0.

Addo-Carr completed his hat-trick after 48 minutes.

The final try of the match was scored by Addo-Carr after some great ball skills from Burton.

Mal Meninga said they knew they had improved and excelled.

The performance was very good. We're not going to get carried away, but I can't criticize any of it. I think we were very well done.

We stuck to our plan after coming with a clear one. The ball control was great.

The intent has always been to enjoy the tournament. A lot of our players work during the day, it's a huge thing to be involved in.

We've had some sickness in the camp, but hopefully we'll be good to go next week.
