Wild west lawman Roy Pulsifer lies dazed on the ground after being hit by a buffalo.

Are you familiar with R.I.P.D. The Rest in Peace Department is a division of the law that fights souls that have escaped hell. The film has gotten a sequel that no one was asking for.

Jeff Bridges reprises his role as Roy Pulsifer in R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned, which is a sequel to R.I.P.D. The trailer is a short one.

The first eight minutes of the film can be watched over at Universal's website, but I can save you some time by giving you the official synopsis.

The world's best hope of being saved lies in the gunslinging hands of Sheriff Roy Pulsipher as he becomes the newest officer for the Rest In Peace Department. Roy will see how weird it gets when he dies. Roy thought joining the RIPD would allow him to revisit his daughter and find out what happened to him. He has a mission to stop a demon from opening a portal to the Underworld and he has his holster full with havoc and hellfire. The fate of the living and the dead now depends on Roy and his partner, a mysterious swordswoman, as cowboys clash with creatures and zombies unleash apocalyptic chaos.

It looks like a direct-to- home video sequel/prequel to a movie that no one really cared about in the first place. When it arrives on physical and digital media on November 15th, I can't deny that this is a thing.
