  • YouTube has announced that the price of one of its the Premium plans will increase by $5.
  • The change will occur for users in the YouTube Premium family plan late November.
  • The YouTube Premium family plan allows users to share their subscription across several users.

As soon as next month, there will be an increase in the price of the subscription.

The price of the YouTube Premium family plan is going to increase by $5, according to an email shared by a subscriber.

Depending on your billing cycle, the price increase will take place on or after November 21, 2022, If you sign up for a family plan, you will have to pay the new amount because the increase is already in effect. Subscribers in Canada, the U.K., Turkey, and Argentina are affected by the new pricing.

The individual plan is unaffected.

You can get closer to the videos, creators, and music artists that you love with the creation of YouTube Premium. The Premium family plan price will be going up from $17 to $22 per month.

It has been at least four years since the price of YouTube Premium was last increased. Ad-free videos, experimental features, offline streaming, and more are included in the subscription. Ad-free music is also included. The benefits can be shared by up to five people.

If the price hike is too steep for you, you can cancel the subscription. Go to the account menu from the top right corner and select memberships and purchases. Hit "Deactivate" if you can't find your subscription. You can either stop your subscription or cancel it.

The price of music will stay the same until April for users who were grandfathered in.
