The all-electricGMC Sierra Denali pickup truck is the latest model in the company's march towards a global annual sales target of 1 million electric vehicles.

The first electric truck or SUV on GM's new Ultium platform isn't the GMC Sierra. The brand has two battery-electric trucks, the pickup and SUV versions of the Hummer.

The internal combustion version of the Sierra is the best selling model of the brand.

This isn't just a retrofit of the Sierra EV, it's a whole new vehicle.

The product manager of the Sierra said it wasn't like they were taking for the truck and putting a battery in it The Ultium technology, the integrated cab and box construction, and additional technology in the vehicle are what we are taking.

The pickup is going to compete with the F-150. The high-end version of the model will be $107,000 and will be the first one to be sold. The Sierra Denali will be available in two trims, AT4 and elevation. The other versions of the pickup will start at $50,000. The F-150 Lightning starts at $47,000 and goes up to nearly $100,000 for the PlatinumExtendedRange version.
