The MacBook Pro 16-inch and 14-inch models are some of the best laptops the company has ever made, but they are very expensive and rarely come down in price.

The price on these sought-after laptops has been slashed by Apple.

The M1 Pro and Max variant of the refurbished 14 and 16-inch models were slashed in price. The prices have been reduced by 15%. The refurbished M1 MacBook Pro models were about 10% off. Apple's refurbished product program comes with warrantees and even new packaging.

A base 14-inch model is going for $1,709, while a refurbished M1 Max equipped 16-inch MacBook Pro is going $2,999. It may entice people who were on the fence to get one.

The refurbished 14-inch is less expensive than the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 chip. The base 14-inch comes with 16 gigabytes of storage out of the box, but it also has a bigger screen, better graphics card, and more features. If you are shopping for a pro-level MacBook, the 14-inch is probably the best choice.

An update to the 14-16-inch MacBook Pro models is possible because of the price reductions. There is still time for Apple to release the M2 Pro/Max variant of the high-end MacBook Pro models, and they could be released as early as November. It might not be the best idea to wait for the M2 models at this time.

If Apple updates the MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro/Max chips, the performance on the models would be outstanding and would likely accomplish most professional tasks with ease.

The screen, port selection, and overall design of the 2021 models will likely be retained by the new models. For a long time, Apple doesn't change the design.
